NEPSE jumps 94.92 points on Sunday, bringing daily turnover to Rs 2.91 billion

KATHMANDU : The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the only secondary market of the country, surged by 94.92 points to close at 1956.98 points on Sunday.

Similarly, the sensitive index rose 17.93 points to close at 382.84 points.

A total of 6,363,590 units of the shares of 230 companies were traded for Rs 2.19 billion.

Likewise, all the sub-indices saw green in today’s market.

More than 20 share companies have seen a positive circuit today.

The share price of those companies have surged by 10 percent.

Some of the top gainers includes Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL), Hydorelectricity Investment and Development Company Ltd (HIDCL), Sanima General Insurance Company Limited (SGI), Progressive Finance Limited (PROFL), Sanima Life Insurance (SLI) etc.

Meanwhile, Nepal Investment Bank Debenture 2084 (NIBD84) and ICFC Finance Limited Debenture 2083 (ICFCD83) were the top losers today as their prices fell by 2.16 percent and 2 percent respectively.
