Speaker Sapkota directs govt to respond to petroleum products price hike

KATHAMANDU : Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota issued a ruling directing the government to respond to the rise in prices of petroleum products.

During a meeting of the House of Representatives held on Monday, Speaker Sapkota said that he issued ruling to the government after the lawmakers drew his attention over frequent hike in fuel prices.

UML lawmaker Padma Aryal demanded clarification from the government on the hike in prices of petroleum products.

Earlier on Sunday, the government increased Rs 21 per liter in petrol and Rs 27 per liter in diesel and kerosene.
