2 killed, 3 injured in lightning strikes in Gulmi and Kapilvastu 

KATHMANDU: Two persons died in separate incidents of lightning strikes in Gulmi and Kapilvastu districts on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Rizwan Mohammad (7) of Shivaraj Municipality-3, Kapilvastu and Radhika Bhattarai (45) of Madane Rural Municipality-4, Gulmi.

Critically injured Rizwan died during the course of treatment at Chauraha Hospital in Butwal, police said.

Similarly, three other people including Noor Mohammad of Shivaraj Municipality-3, Kapilvastu were also injured during the incident.

They are receiving treatment at Chauraha Hospital.
