Nepali Congress demands re-election in Budhiganga of Bajura

KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepali Congress has demanded re-election in Budhiganga of Bajura a week after the completion of the local level elections.

Issuing a statement on Friday, Nepali Congress Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel accused the CPN-UML cadres of capturing booths in various polling stations of the municipality.

The party demanded re-voting as the elections could not be held in a free, fair and fearless environment.

The Congress has requested the Election Commission to take action against those involved in capturing the booths and to make arrangements to hold re-voting in the polling station peacefully.
