UML candidate Bishnu Bhusal elected Mayor of Kawasoti Municipality

NAWALPUR: CPN-UML candidate Bishnu Bhusal has been elected as the Mayor of Kawasoti Municipality, defeating the ruling coalition.

He garnered 18, 608 votes while Mahendra Pokharel of Nepali Congress secured 18, 304 votes.

Similarly, Phul Kumari Thanet of CPN-UML has been elected as the Deputy Mayor with 19, 024 votes. She defeated Patiram Tharu of CPN (Maoist Centre) with 5, 463 votes.
