UML wins mayor, deputy mayor posts in Siraha Municipality

JANAKAPURDHAM: The CPN-UML have won both mayor and deputy mayor posts in Siraha Municipality.

Martyr Hem Narayan Yadav’s son Nabin Yadav has been elected as the mayor of the municipality with 11, 143 votes.

His closest contender Upendra Kumar Yadav of Nepali Congress secured 8, 732 votes.

Babita Kumari Sah has been elected as the deputy mayor. She got 10, 126 votes and her closest contender Sarita Yadav of Nepali Congress received 8, 577 votes.
