Govt recommends Prez Bhandari to call budget session on May 17

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to recommend President Bidya Devi Bhandari to call the budget session on May 17.

A Cabinet meeting held on Sunday made the decision to this effect.

The government decided to recommend the President to convene the budget session to hold discussions on the budget for the new fiscal year, according to a source of the Parliament Secretariat.

The government will have to present the annual budget on May 29 as per the constitutional provision.
