Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand appointed acting PM

KATHMANDU: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has been given the responsibility of acting Prime Minister.

He has been assigned to work as the acting Prime Minister after Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba left for New Delhi, India on a three-day official visit on Friday.

Minister Khand will take the responsibility of the Prime Minister until Deuba returns home.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the recommendation of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba appointed Home Minister Khand as the acting Prime Minister to perform daily administrative functions of the Prime Minister, the Office of the President said.
