Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Kathmandu (With video)

KATHMANDU : Chinese State Councilor and Minister for Foreign Affairs Wang Yi arrived in Kathmandu on Friday.

Leading a 25-member delegation, he landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport a few minutes ago.

Minister Wang was welcomed by Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal at the airport.

The Chinese Foreign Minister, who had reached Pakistan on Monday, came to Nepal via Afghanistan and India.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Joint Secretary Sewa Lamsal said that he will start his official visits from Saturday.

Minister Wang is scheduled to hold a meeting with his Nepali counterpart Narayan Khadka tomorrow morning.

He will pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba tomorrow itself.

Similarly, he will pay a courtesy call on President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Sunday.

After that, he is scheduled to hold separate meetings with former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and former Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
