Minister Badu draws attention of Minister Khand and Khadka towards construction of embankment by India in Mahakali River

KATHMANDU: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dilendra Prasad Badu has drawn the attention of Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand and Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka towards the construction of a concrete embankment by India in the Mahakali River.

Darchula is the home district of Minister Khand.

India has been constructing a concrete embankment at Bangabagar in Mahakali Municipality-4.

India has been ignoring the request of the local administration to stop the construction at the earliest.

Minister Badu told Minister Khand and Khadka that the people of both sides have recently engaged in a clash after India ignored the request of local administration and local people.

He urged Minister Khand and Khadka to resolve the issue through diplomatic channels as soon as possible.

During the meeting, Minister Khadka said that he had already drawn the attention of the Indian government towards the incident.
