Central Committee will make decision on forging alliance for upcoming polls: NC (video)

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress has made it clear that the coalition will remain intact till the elections. But the party said that the Central Committee meeting will make a decision on forging an electoral alliance for upcoming polls. 

Speaking at a press conference organised at the party office in Sanepa on Wednesday, party spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat said that it was not necessary to talk much about the alliance now. 

Saying that Prime Minister and party President Sher Bahadur Deuba has issued a directive not to talk much about the coalition, he said that the Central Committee meeting will make the decision on the same. 

“It is not necessary to talk much about the alliance,” he said. 

Party Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka said that the Central Executive Committee will decide whether to forge an alliance in the upcoming elections. 

“The Central Committee meeting will make a decision on forging electoral alliance,” he said, adding, “It will be immature to talk about forging electoral alliance now.” 

The government has decided to hold the local level elections on May 13.
