Local polls have been ensured after endorsement of MCC: Dahal

KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that the local level elections have been ensured after the endorsement of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

Making public party’s official views at a press conference organised in Khumaltar on Monday, he said that the endorsement of the $500 million grant agreement has guaranteed the civic polls.

The government has decided to hold the local level elections on May 13.

The second meeting of the Parliament held on Sunday ratified the MCC with interpretative declaration.
