Folk singer Jayananda Lama no more

KATHMANDU: Senior folk singer and actor Jayananda Lama passed away on Wednesday.

Lama, a permanent resident of Dharpa, Bahrabise Municipality-2, Sindhupalchok, died at his residence in Kausaltar, Bhaktapur this morning.

Lama, who sustained deep cuts in his head after he fell down while getting out of a car in front of his house, breathed his last today.

He sang many folk songs like Kalakatte Kainyo, Mula Ko Chana and Chuin Chuin Chuikana Jutta among others.
