Police fire rubber bullets after protesters turn violent (With photos)

KATHMANDU: A clash erupted between police personnel and anti-MCC protesters in New Baneshwor on Sunday afternoon after the latter crossed the prohibited area.

Police used tear gas and water cannons to take the situation under control.

Police even fired several rounds of rubber bullets after the protesters turn violent.

Some students and young leaders were injured in the clash.

The government tabled the MCC in the parliament today amid protests from the ruling and opposition parties.
