T20 International cricket series: Nepal beat Oman by 6 wickets
KATHMANDU: Nepal registered a six-wicket victory against Oman on Friday.
Nepal achieved the target of 136 runs in 19.3 overs by losing four wickets.
Nepal made a winning start by defeating the home team in their first match of the T20 International Series comprising four countries.
Dipendra Aire scored highest 73 runs off 53 balls hitting one six and four boundaries. This is the second time that Aire scored half century in the T20 International Cricket.
Similarly, Arif Sheikh and Asif Sheikh contributed 25 and 14 runs respectively.
Oman scored 135 runs losing six wickets in the allotted 20 overs against Nepal who choose to field first after winning the toss.
Abinash Bohara and Sandeep Lamichhane took three wickets each and Kamal Singh Aire and Arif Sheikh claimed one wicket each.
Nepal will play second match against UAE on Saturday.
