Government hatching conspiracy to postpone local level elections: Oli

KATHMANDU: The main opposition CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli said that the government is hatching a conspiracy to postpone the local level elections, which is not acceptable to them.

Making public the party’s views on government’s six months, he said that the local level elections should be held on time.

Chairman Oli accused the government of throwing a card to hold the elections to the House of Representatives in April to postpone the local level elections.

“Ruling coalition leaders have thrown the card the hold the elections to the House of Representatives in April to postpone the local level elections,” he said, “ This proposal was bright to postpone the local level elections.”

Oli clarified that though his party stands for fresh people’s mandate, they are not in favour of postponing the elections.

“Our party has been standing for a fresh people’s mandate and we stand by that belief even today,” Oli said. “We are ready to face the elections at any time,” he added.
