Government announces Rs 500, 000 reward to each member of national volleyball team
KATHMANDU: The government has announced to facilitate the players of national volleyball team with a cash prize of Rs 500, 000 each for clinching the title of Asian Central Zone Volleyball Challenge Cup.
A Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday decided to provide cash prize to each players, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Shashi Shrestha said.
Similarly, the government has decided to provide Rs 300,000 each to two coaches and Rs 200, 000 to an official.
Nepal on Tuesday defeated Uzbekistan to clinch the title of Asian Central Zone Women’s Volleyball Championship.
This is Nepal’s second international title in the history of Nepali volleyball.
Earlier in 2019, Nepal had won the first series of this championship held in Bangladesh by defeating Maldives.
