NEPSE plunges by 69.77 points on Monday

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index plunged by 69.77 points to close at 2,521.65 points on Monday.

Similarly, the sensitive index fell 10.85 points to reach 471.89 points.

A total of 10,292,226 units of shares of 238 companies were traded for Rs 5,60 billion.

In today’s market, all sub-indices saw red with Non-Life Insurance leading the way with a decline 618.44 points followed by Life Insurance with 290.72 points.

At the end of the day, total market capitalisation stood at Rs 3.56 trillion.

Meanwhile, Gurkhas Finance Limited was the top gainer for today, with its price surging by 10.00 percent. Joshi Hydropower Development Company Limited was the top loser as its price fell by 8.54 percent.
