US congratulates Deuba on his election to top post of party

KATHMANDU: The US embassy in Kathmandu on Wednesday congratulated newly elected president of the Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba.

The US embassy took to Twitter to congratulate Deuba. The US has become the first country to congratulate Deuba on his election to the top post of the party.

Extending hearty congratulations, the US embassy said that the US is for protecting democracy and human rights and for fair and transparent elections.
