NC to hold province constituency level convention from November 19
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to hold its province constituency level convention under the 14 general convention from November 19.
The party has decided to hold its general convention from December 10-12.
The NC, which is gearing up for the general convention, is going to hold the convention in 330 provinces across the nation.
Central Election Committee Secretary Keshav Rijal said that the convention will be held on Friday itself apart from the the debated provinces.
The dispute at the ward and local level in Sarlahi, Sindhupalchok and Rasuwa has not been resolved yet.
NC spokesperson Bishwo Prakash Sharma said that the party will hold a federal electoral district level convention soon after the completion of province constituency level convention.
“Ward and local level conventions have been completed in almost all the districts. The committee will take further decisions in the districts where the dispute has not been resolved,” he said, adding,” But still we are holding province constituency level conventions in the districts where the dispute has already been sorted out.”
Sharma said that the federal electoral district level convention will be held in 165 constituencies on November 22 after the completion convention in 330 provinces.
