6 student unions picket NOC, not to let Executive Director enter office today (With photos)

KATHMANDU: Six student unions affiliated to various political parties have picketed the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) on Friday to protest the fuel price hike.

The students have warned that they would not allow Executive Director Surendra Paudel to enter the office today.

They have also chanted slogans against Paudel. The students have demanded that the government roll back its decision to hike the price of petroleum products at the earliest.

The student unions have announced their phase wise protest programmes in protest against the price hike.

Earlier on Thursday, they had submitted a memorandum to the Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies demanding that the government take back its decision to hike the price of petroleum products pronto.
