Kumari Bank loan officer arrested for banking fraud


KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a loan officer of the Kumari Bank on the charge of taking Rs 190 million loan by producing a fake land registration certificate.
A team deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police apprehended Sonu Thakur following a complaint that he took Rs 190 million loan from the Kumari Bank by producing a fake land registration certificate of 12 bigha land of singer Yogeshwor Amatya.
Earlier, Amatya had filed a case stating that Thakur had taken the loan from the bank by producing a fake document of his 12 bigha land of Bara district.
Police have also arrested another official of the bank Rajesh Chaurasiya along with Thakur.
