Special package will be announced for flood and landslide people

SUNSARI: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said that a special package will be announced for people affected by flood, landslide and inundation in various parts of the country.

Prime Minister Deuba, who reached Itahari to take stock of the damage caused by rain-induced disasters, said that the government will soon announce a special package as the unexpected and extreme rains destroyed the harvest-ready paddy crops of the farmers.

The Prime Minister said that the unseasonal rains have caused massive damage to the life and property.

“I have understood the situation. The government will announce the relief package soon after I reach Kathmandu,” Prime Minister Deuba said.

The Prime Minister also praised the role played by security personnel during the disaster.
