Pashupatinath Temple to be reopened from September 10
KATHMANDU: The Pashupatinath Temple, which was closed following the Covid-19 pandemic, will be reopened for general worshippers from September 10.
Ghanshyam Khatiwada, Executive director of Pashupati Area Development Trust, said that the temple will be reopened by adhering to Covid-19 protocols.
The temple was closed for the public on April 29 after the second wave of Covid-19 hit the country.
With the decrease in Covid-19 cases, the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has decided to reopen the temple for the general public.
Khatiwada said that a meeting of the PADT to be held on Friday will decide whether to open the temple for Teej festival or not.
