Fire engulfs plywood industry in Dang

DANG: A fire broke out at the Shangrila Plywood Industry in Khaira, Ghorahi Sub-Municipal-9. The fire which started at around 2:00 am is yet to come under control.

Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Lamsal said that efforts are being made to extinguish the fire with the help of fire engines and water tankers from all over the district.

Personnel from Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and locals are working together to douse the fire.

Meanwhile, residents of the settlement near the plywood industry site have been evacuated considering the possibility of the fire spreading out to the settlement.

Fire engines have also been summoned from Banke and Rupandehi districts.
