Man found dead in Bhaktapur picnic spot

KATHMANDU: A man was found dead at a picnic spot in Bhaktapur on Sunday.

Om Prakash Rai (66) was found dead at the parking of the Nilbarahi-based picnic spot in Bode of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-9, Bhaktapur at around 6 am today.

Rai, a permanent resident of Kepilashgadhi Rural Municipality-2, Khotang, had been residing in Bode.

DSP Dhundi Raj Neupane, Information Office at the District Police Office, Bhaktapur, informed that the body of Rai was found with cuts in his ear and head.

Preliminary investigation of the police said that he may have been murdered, according to DSP Neupane.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, he said.
