RPP’s youth organisation objects to arrest of its leader Bam

HETAUDA: National Democratic Youth Organisation, youth wing of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, objected to the arrest of its leader Niranjan Bam.
Issuing a statement on Sunday, Organisation’s central coordinator Sujit KC objected to the arrest of its leader at Bharatpur Airport.
The police administration, with the support of the government, acted arbitrarily and prejudicially by arresting a responsible young leader without any reason.
“Is it legal to arrest and prosecute ordinary citizens simply for expressing their opinions, when the leaders of different political parties openly make serious accusations against each other?” he questioned.
Earlier on Saturday, Bam burnt the photo of CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal during a programme held in Hetauda.
