Pro-monarchy supporters stage protests outside TIA

KATHMANDU: Protests have started on the streets outside Tribhuvan International Airport hours before former King Gyandra Shah arrived in Kathmandu from Pokhara.

The protesters have chanted slogans like ‘Ganatantra Murdabad, ‘Raja Au Desh Bachau, and ‘Hamro Raja Hamro Desh Pran Bhanda Pyaro Cha’ among others.

Traffic in the area has been disrupted due to the protests.

Supporters of Monarchy have been arriving at the airport from various parts of Kathmandu.
