Nepal Press honoured with this year’s Good Governance Award

KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has honoured Nepal Press with this year’s Good Governance Award.

The anti-corruption watchdog honoured Nepal Press with the award for its continuous news dissemination, research and publication of articles in favor of good governance and against corruption.

On the occasion of the 34th Establishment Day of the Authority, Speaker Devraj Ghimire presented the Good Governance Award and Certificate of Appreciation to Nepal Press in the presence of President Ram Chandra Paudel amidst a special function held on Monday.

Nepal E. Press Media Pvt. Ltd Chairman Binduraj Lamsal received the award.

CIAA Chief Commissioner Prem Rai said that Nepal Press was honoured with this year’s Good Governance Award for its significant contribution in controlling corruption and for enhancing good governance through journalism.

Nepal Press columnist Sudarshan Acharya was also awarded in the same ceremony.

Nepal Press was established on December 14, 2020.

Nepal Press Editor-in-Chief Matrika Paudel said that the Authority has given Nepal Press more motivation to work against corruption by honouring with the award.
