23 injured as bus heading towards Kathmandu from Nepalgunj meets with accident

BHARATPUR: At least 23 people were injured in a bus accident that took place this morning.

The accident took place when the bus (Lu Pra 03-001 Kha 0077) heading towards Kathmandu from Nepalgunj fell off the Setidobhan Bridge on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section at 4:30 am, police said.

Police Inspector Nirala Bhandari of the Area Police Office, Muglin, said that 23 of the 28 people on board the bus were injured in the bus accident. The injured are undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College.

Initial investigation showed that the bus may have lost control due to a tire puncture.

Further investigation is underway.
