Kaski District Court grants permission to cancel GB Rai’s passport
KATHMANDU: The Kaski District Court has granted a permission to cancel the passport of GB Rai, the fugitive accused in the cooperative fraud case.
Kaski District Court Judge Himlal Belbase issued an order to cancel the passport of Rai.
The District Court Registrar Rajan Khanal informed that a decision has been made to send a letter to the Department of Passport to cancel Rai’s passport.
“Cases are sub-judice in the court on cooperative fraud, organised crime and money laundering. He has not been appearing in the court,” he said.
Earlier, the Kaski District Court through the Public Prosecutor’s Office had filed an application at the court to cancel Rai’s passport to bring him in Nepal.
