Kathmandu District Court orders release of RSP President Lamichhane on bail

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has ordered the authorities to release Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane, who was arrested in connection with Swarnalakshami Cooperative fraud case, on bail.

A single bench of Judge Madhav Prasad Adhikari on Wednesday issued an order to release former Home Minister Lamichhane on bail of Rs 6 million.

On the behalf of Lamichhane, senior advocates– Sushil Panta and Raman Shrestha-had argued the case.
