Basbariya Rural Municipality-3 ward Chair Mahato dies

SARLAHI: Basbariya Rural Municipality-3 Chairperson Nanda Lal Mahato of Sarlahi district died on Wednesday night at the age of 69.

Suffering from cancer, Mahato died while undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital.

Chairperson of Basbariya Rural Municipality, Ram Singhasan Raya, said Mahato’s last rites would be performed today.

He was elected as Ward Chairperson from the Nepali Congress.

Basbariya Rural Municipality has declared a holiday today in the rural municipality to mourn the demise of ward Chair Mahato.
