Death toll in Darchula jeep accident reaches 8

DARCHULA: The death toll in a jeep accident that occurred in Darchula this morning reached eight.

Six persons died on the spot while two breathed their last during the course of treatment at the Gokuleshwor Hospital.

According to DSP Prakash Dahal of the District Police Office, Darchula, the deceased have been identified as Birendra Rawal (30), his wife Shanti Rawal (28) of Lekhgaun, Shailyashikhar-5, Dilip Bista (45) of Shailyashikhar-9, Mina Bista (45), Sujita Bohara (15), Birendra Bohara (45) of Dilashaini Rural Municipality-5, Baitadi, Mohammad Safir (45) and Mohammad Basim (18) of Uttar Pradesh, India.
