6th Asian Population Association conference to be held in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The 6th Asian Population Association (APA) Conference is scheduled to take place in Kathmandu from November 27 to 30, 2024.

The Central Department of Population Studies (CDPS) at Tribhuvan University will organize this prestigious event at The Soaltee Hotel.

The conference is expected to attract over 500 delegates from 50 countries, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and research on population dynamics.

Dr. Yogendra Bahadur Gurung, the Coordinator of the Conference Organizing Committee and Head of the CDPS, highlighted that a special session dedicated to Nepal will also be featured during the event.

With an estimated budget of 5 crores for the conference, the organizing committee is committed to ensuring a successful and impactful gathering for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners in the field of population studies.

This conference promises to be a significant platform for addressing critical population issues and sharing innovative solutions across the region.
