29 bodies recovered from landslide in Jhyaple Khola
KATHMANDU: Twenty-nine bodies have been recovered so far from the landslide in the Jhyaple Khola on the border of Dhading and Kathmandu.
Armed Police Force spokesperson Kumar Neupane informed that the bodies were recovered from the winger and bus.
Fourteen bodies were recovered on Saturday evening.
More dead bodies were found from the bus while removing the landslide debris using excavators on Sunday morning.
It is not yet certain how many vehicles were buried in the landslide.
Neupane said the team was mobilised after they received information about the incident at 4 pm.
Earlier, the National Disaster Authority had issued a notice urging all not to operate the night buses on Friday and Saturday.
