Former lawmaker Shrestha arrested for buying and selling drugs

KATHMANDU: Former lawmaker of House of Representatives Dhak Kumar Shrestha has been arrested for allegedly buying and selling drugs.

The District Police Office, Kaski nabbed Shrestha, also the operator of Diya Pharmacy on Thursday.

Police detained Shrestha after a person who was apprehended with drugs said that he bought the contraband drugs from the pharmacy of Shrestha.

Earlier, police had arrested Prakash Magar (42) of Tribeni Rural Municipality-7 of Rolpa with the drugs.

During the interrogation, he said that he bought the drugs from the pharmacy of Shrestha.

SP Mohana Kumar Thapa said that they are looking into the case.
