Indian defence trainees call on PM Oli

KATHMANDU:  A delegation of trainees from the National Defence College (NDC) of India, who are on a study tour to Nepal, met Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today.

During the meeting held at PM’s residence, Baluwatar, PM Oli praised the academic contribution made by the college in defense and reminded that there should be common efforts for the peace and prosperity of the South Asian nations.

He further viewed violence and disputes arising in this region where great thinkers Gautama Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi were born would be in contradiction to the culture and civilization here.

Also, the issues of common culture, lifestyle and civilization between Nepal and India were discussed during the meeting.

Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, and college representative Sandeep  S Sandu, among others, were present in the meeting.
