Gandaki Province Minister Deepak Manange resigns

POKHARA: Expressing dissatisfaction over the reshuffle of the ministry, Minister for Forest and Environment of Gandaki Province Rajib Gurung (Deepak Manange) resigned from his post on Monday.

He told Nepal Press over phone that he submitted the resignation to Chief Minister Surendra Pandey through his personal secretary Santosh Adhikari.

Manange, who was previously the Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Management, was given the responsibility of the Ministry of Forest and Environment later.

He, however, expressed his dissatisfaction with the Chief Minister saying that the ministry was meant for the junior.

Manange walked out of the programme today where the ministers of CPN-UML were taking the oath of office and secrecy.

It has been learnt that he had demanded to give the Ministry of Forest and Environment to lawmaker Munindra Jung Gurung who was elected from Manang.
