14 killed as bus plunges into Marsyangdi river

KATHMANDU: Fourteen persons died when a bus met with an accident at Aanbu Khaireni on Friday.

Armed Police Force (APF) spokesperson Kumar Neupane said that 14 bodies have been recovered from the incident site.

Armed Police Force and Nepal Police personnel are carrying out rescue operations.

The bus fell some 50 meters down the road and plunged into Marsyangdi river.

It has been learnt that there were 35 persons on board the bus.

Fifteen persons were rescued with injuries whereas six are missing in the river.
