Flood hits Thame Village in Solukhumbu

KATHMANDU: A flood hit Thame Village in Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality-5 of Solukhumbu on Friday.

The rural municipality suspected that the flood was caused by the bursting of the snow lake.

Saying that the flood has caused a huge damage to the village, people living on the bank of Dudhkoshi river have been asked to be cautious.

Chief District Officer Devi Pandey said that there was a huge flood in Thame of Bhotekoshi.

She said that they are trying to find out whether it was an avalanche or the lake has burst.

Many houses are at risk because of the flood.
