Chief Minister Singh removes eight state ministers amidst criticism
JANAKPURDHAM: Madhes Pradesh Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh has removed eight state ministers.
He removed the eight state ministers in response to widespread criticism for forming a jumbo Cabinet.
Now, there will be 12 ministers including the chief minister in the province.
On August 4, Chief Minister Singh had appointed Muhammad Jaid Alam of CPN-UML, Ram Babu Yadav of Democratic Socialist Party, Sambhu Kumar Sah of Janamat Party, Rekha Thakur and Nilam Kumar of Nepali Congress as state ministers.
Earlier, Keshav Raya and Sharda Devi Thapa of UML and Ranju Khanga of Janamat Party were appointed as state ministers.
Janamat Party had asked for clarification with Chief Minister Singh for appointing chief ministers without consulting the party.
