8 die, 2 missing in Baglung landslides

POKHARA: Eight persons died after being buried in landslides in Baglung.

Assistant Chief District Office Chitrangat Baral informed that eight persons have died so far after being buried in landslides in Badigand Rural Municipality 9 and 10.

According to him, six persons died in Badigand-10 and two in Ward 9.

The deceased have been identified as Malati Budha, Madhu Budha, Sanju BK, six-month-old daughter, Manoj Budha, Maan Budha, Maitidevi Budha, Bidhan Pariyar and Ganga Basnet.

Baral said that Sangita Budha, Sumitra BK, Sita Thapa and Mangan Singh Budha were injured in the monsoon-induced disaster.

Two persons have gone missing.
