Two killed as pick-up van hits motorbike in Jhapa

JHAPA: Two persons died when a pick-up van hit a motorbike at Haldibari Rural Municipality-5 in Jhapa along the Postal Highway on Thursday.

Sub-Inspector of Nepal Police Purna Prasad Gautam said that 31-year-old Prem Prasain of Haldibari Rural Municipality-5 and pillion rider Dikes Karki of Barahakshetra Municipality-10 died in the incident.

The duo, who were critically injured in the mishap, were pronounced dead immediately after they were taken to the B and C Hospital in Birtamod, Jhapa.
