Five-member commission formed to investigate plane crash (With video)
KATHMANDU: The government has formed a commission to investigate today’s Saurya Airlines plane crash.
The five-member commission was formed under the headship of Ratish Chandra Lal Suman.
The government has also decided to fly the national flag half-mast to observe the mourning.
Government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung said that the commission has been given 45 days to submit the report with suggestions to prevent such accidents in the future.
Expressing condolences to the bereaved families of those who died in the crash, the government wished for speedy recovery of captain Manish Shakya.
Eighteen people died when a Saurya Airlines plane crashed while taking off at the Tribhuvan International Airport this morning.
