Former State Minister Raya murdered in Sarlahi

JANAKPURDHAM: Former State Minister for Land Management Ram Chandra Raya has been murdered by using a sharp weapon in Sarlahi on Sunday.

Raya (75) was murdered in his house at Ratanpur, Chandranagar Rural Municipality-1 last night.

DSP Deepak Shrestha, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Sarlahi, said that a group of unidentified persons murdered the former state minister by attacking with a sharp weapon on his head.

“There was only one maid when Raya was killed. We got the information at 1 am today. The body has been taken to the Malangwa Hospital. Further investigation into the incident is underway,” he said.
