SC scraps Kedar Karki’s writ against Koshi government

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court on Tuesday scrapped a writ filed by Kedar Karki against the appointment of Chief Minister Hikmat Karki of Koshi Province.

A full bench of Justices Kumar Regmi, Dr Nahakul Subedi and Abdul Ajij Musalman scrapped a writ petition filed by outgoing Chief Minister Karki.

With the dismissal of the writ, the Hikmat Karki-led government will continue.

Karki had filed a writ at the Supreme Cout on May 10, 2023 against Hikmat Karki who was appointed as the Chief Minister with the support of 52 lawmakers of CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre).
