Police constable among four nabbed for robbing house in Bhaktapur
KATHMANDU: Police have arrested four persons who have been absconding after robbing a house at Suryabinayak in Bhaktapur.
The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office made them public by organising a press conference today.
The arrestees have been identified as Sujan Rasayali of Bahrabise, Sindhupalchowk, Bhim Bahadur Tamang and Krishna Bahadur Bohara of Bhotekoshi and Munaraj Rai of Okhaldhunga.
SP Kaji Kumar Acharya said that police nabbed them from different places on different dates.
Among them, Krishna Bahadur Bohara is a police head constable.
Police said that they robbed the house of Dilli Bahadur Raut of Suryabinayak Municipality-4 at around 1 pm on June 18 saying that they were from the CIB.
According to police, they robbed around Rs 20 million from the house by brandishing a khukuri and Id cards.
A preliminary investigation of police revealed that they took the stolen money at the house of Bhim Bahadur in Makalbari, Gokarneshwor and distributed it among the five people.
Police said that they have recovered two motorbikes used in the heist, 10 sets of mobile phones, a bag with money, a khukuri, and Rs 36,36000 in cash from them.
