Death toll in Surkhet jeep accident reaches four

SURKHET: Death toll in Surkhet jeep accident has reached four.

Four persons died and five others were injured when a Bolero jeep (Be 1 Cha 2560) heading towards Kalikot from Surkhet met with an accident near Ratanangla at 2 am today.

DSP Rupesh Khadka of the District Police Office, Surkhet said that the jeep fell some 300 metres down the road.

According to him, though the incident occurred last night, they reached the incident site and carried out rescue operations by getting the information only this morning.

He surmised that 10 persons were travelling in the four-wheeler.

DSP Khadka said that they are looking into the incident.
