NC to hit streets against Home Minister Lamichhane

KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress has decided to hit the streets against Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane.

A joint meeting the Central Committee and Parliamentary Party decided to stage a Kathmandu-centric demonstration on Friday in the first phase.

Speaking to mediapersons after the meeting, Congress leader Dila Sangraula said that they will make further decisions on the protest programmes as per the need.

The Congress has been demanding formation of a parliamentary probe committee to investigate Home Minister Lamichhane’s alleged involvement in the misuse of cooperative funds.
